Antone 21 is a special preparation of fron, Zinc and B-Vitamins in Aritone 21 Iron is present as iron Polymaitose Complex, a novel iron preparation, which contains non-sonic ferric iron and polymaltose in a stable complex This facilitates a controled absorption of the iron when it comes in contact with the mucosal cell surface. Being

non-ionic, Iron Polymallose Complex is more tolerable than conventional Iron form

Indications and Uses Aritone Z1 is indicated for the treatment and prevention of fron, B-vitamins and Zinc deficiencies.

Dosage and Administration

Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonful) twice daily or as recommended by the physician. Children 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) once or twice daily or as recommended by the physician.

Infants: 0.33 ml/kg body weight daily or as recommended by the physician

Side-effects

Artane Z1 in generally well tolerated. However, a fow side-effects of oral iron preparations, including nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea may occur

Precautions Caution should be taken in the conditions where there is a risk of iron overload, such as haemochromatosis, thalassemia, haemosiderosis or haemolytic anaemia.

Contraindications Aritone Z1 is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product.

Drug Interactions

Generally no interactions have been observed. Since, the iron is complex bound, ionic interactions with foodstuff components (phytates, oxalates, tannin, etc.) and concomitantly administered medicaments (tetracycline,

antacids) are unlikely to occur

Overdosage

In case of overdosage, initially epigastric pain, diarrhoea and vomiting can occur and may include metabolic

acidosis, convulsions and coma after apparent recovery. Should sook emergency medical attention in case of

overdose. Initially an emetic should be given and then gastric lavage and general supportive measures should

be employed.
