Participation of Zia Ashraf (COO of Chaldal), in IFC International Food Safety Forum

For the 7^th time ‘The IFC 7th International Food Safety Forum’ was held in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, from November 28 to November 29. Zia Ashraf, Chief Operating Officer of Chaldal.com, was present in the forum with the respected people of other countries. The people of the World famous in the food industry were also present in this forum. The main theme of this forum was "Better Food Safety, Better Business”. Participants in this forum were able to create a unique environment of sharing the best knowledge with each others. A great opportunity was created to build new relationships and strengthen the food industry in this forum.

Under the theme, “Better Food Safety, Better Business”, top global organizations discussed to maximize their investment in food security. The growing demand for food, security, reliability and effective global food supply was given much priority to this forum. For more than a decade, the IFC has been working as an advisor to food companies on modern food prices and improving food safety, as well as to consumer health protection strategies. For the sake of food security, IFC food Safety Forum assembled the Food retailers and manufacturers from different countries.

In the forum of two days, ZIA Ashraf, the Chief Operating Officer of Chaldal.com, interacted with other government policyholders and regulators regarding food security. How can people and company’s partnership support the food security, how can the company ensure a strong food security culture, how will ensure that, food security is not only for export market consumers, how emerging market companies use the latest technologies to achieve food security, how to reduce funding to ensure food safety, how Food Companies encourage high-level value for providers, are the detailed topics that ZIA Ashraf acquired from the forum. He considers that, these themes will play an important role in ensuring food security for the people living in Bangladesh.

Furthermore, he believes and much more optimistic that, the participation in the International Food Safety Forum will ensure the food security and will provide safe food to the people of Bangladesh.
